PRESS RELEASE

(Masonville, NY – November 6, 2018) – On November 1, 2018 at approximately 2:02 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Debra M. Mills, age 58 of Sidney, NY for the class D felony of Forgery in the second degree and the misdemeanor of petit larceny.
 
Mills is accused of stealing checks from a woman she took care of, forging the checks then cashing them. Troopers were contacted on October 30, 2018 and an investigation revealed that Mills made out checks to herself and forged the victim’s signature.  Mills was arrested on November 1 and arraigned in the town of Sidney Court where she was released on her own recognizance.  She is scheduled to reappear appear in court on November 8, 2018.
