Two Vermont Women arrested following a early morning pursuit.

On 11/09/18 State Police Zone 2 were on the look out for a vehicle that fled the scene of an incident on the Thruway.  The vehicle was spotted by Troopers in Saratoga County northbound on I87.  The operator of the vehicle later identified as Ericka M. Handy 27 yo from Proctor VT., failed to stop and sped northbound.  In an attempt to avoid being stopped upon entering Warren County crossed over the median and was traveling north in the southbound lanes in the Town of Queensbury.  Troopers from SP Queeensbury that were southbound and Hardy was driving at oncoming traffic.  An uninvolved vehicle struck the Troop car disabling it.  Hardy then crossed back over the median and exited the northway at exit 18.  As Troopers checked the area the suspect vehicle was located behind a business on Corinth Rd.  As Troopers were checking the area Handy was located in another vehicle. That vehicle was stopped on I87 at exit 19.  The operator of that vehicle was Nicole Lafrance 32 also from Proctor VT.  A loaded handgun was located in the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia.  Handy was arrested for Reckless Endangerment 1st, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, CPCS 7th, DWAI Drugs, Tampering with Physical Evidence and several vehicle and traffic violations.  Lafrance was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and CPCS 7th.  Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Queensbury Court and remanded to the Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
