Ulster County Man Traveled to Albany to Meet 11 Year Old Girl

New York State Police arrested a man on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 after Investigators based out of the Latham Barracks and Troop G's Computer Crimes Unit determined that a Kingston man had made arrangments to meet up with an underage female.  After a joint investigation between the FBI, Colonie Police, and the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Jacob Styles, age 25, of Kingston, New York, was taken into custody without incident after he had traveled to the Town of Colonie to meet up with an 11 year old girl to engage in sexual activity.  Styles was charged with multiple felonies, including attempted Rape in the 1st degree, attempted Criminal Sex Act in the 1st degree, and possession of marihuana.  Styles was arraigned in the Town of Colonie Court and sent to the Albany County Jail on $25,000 cash bail/bond.  He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
