Saratoga Springs, NY man arrested for Possession of Forged credit cards, Marihuana and a credit card skimming device subsequent to a traffic stop.

Lord V. Williams 
 

New Paltz, NY – On December 4, 2018, at approximately 1:26 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of New Paltz for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the interview of the driver for the traffic violation, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. The driver Lord V. Williams, age 26, of Saratoga Springs, NY was found in possession of (5) forged credit cards, (1) credit card skimmer device and approximately 26 grams of Marihuana.  Williams was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Newburgh. Where he was subsequently charged with:
 
  • Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree; a Class D Felony (5 counts)
  • Unlawful Possession of Skimmer Device 2nd degree; a Class A Misdemeanor (1 count)  
  • Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th degree; a Class B Misdemeanor (1 count)
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd degree; a Unclassified Misdemeanor
 
Williams was arraigned in the Town of New Paltz Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000. Cash or bond. Return court date of December 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. was set in the Town of New Paltz Court.
