911 calls for a damaged vehicle identifies drunk driver

State Police in Granville arrested Michael Cifor, 27, of Saratoga Springs, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on January 8, 2019. While on patrol, Troopers were summoned by State Police dispatchers for a disabled vehicle that appeared damaged on Interstate 87 in the Town of Malta. During the investigation, they determined that Cifor was operating the vehicle and he illustrated signs of alcohol impairment. His vehicle sustained substantial damage to the front passenger side wheel and fender making the vehicle inoperable. Cifor was given standard field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested for DWI. He was later tested to have a 0.20% blood alcohol concentration. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Malta Court on January 16, 2019.
