Cyber tip leads to child pornography arrest

PRESS RELEASE

On January 9, 2019 Members of the New York State Police arrested Samuel Groezinger, 19, of Guilderland, after a search warrant was executed at his residence. Groezinger was arrested after the New York State Police Troop G Computer Crimes Unit received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).  The investigation revealed that Groezinger did possess and promote child pornography. Groezinger was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Latham. He is charged with Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class E felony and Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class D felony.
                                                           
Samuel Groezinger was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court in front of Town Justice John Bailey, and released after posting $30,000 bond. Groezinger returns to Guilderland Town Court on January 10, 2019, at 5:30 P.M.
