Fort Covington man arrested after firing a rifle inside his residence

On January 9, 2019, State Police arrested 65-year-old Roy A, Barrick Jr., after he shot a rifle round off within his residence on Pike Street in Fort Covington. The residence was occupied by three other individuals, including a 4-year old child.
Barrick was arrested and charged with one count each of Reckless Endangerment 1st degree (felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Menacing 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. He was arraigned in the Malone Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. An order of protection has been issued.
