5:35 P.M.

The driver of the commercial vehicle was Nathan A. Bolden, 37, of Flushing, NY

The commercial vehicle he was driving is registered to Call-A-Head out of Broad Channel, NY.

The accident is still under investigation and the State Police is asking any witness to call (631) 756-3300.

All lanes of travel have been reopened.

On Friday February 1st, 2018 at approximately 10:11 A.M. a commercial vehicle was traveling northbound on the Robert Moses Causeway, south of the main span bridge, in the town of Islip, Suffolk County.  The vehicle lost control, rolled over crossing the southbound lanes coming to rest on the southbound shoulder.  The southbound lanes of the Robert Moses Causeway before the main span are closed at this time.

 

The State Police are asking any witnesses to this collision to contact Headquarters at (631) 756-3300.
