State Police investigate fatal drowning on Skaneateles Lake.

On February 4, 2018, at approxiamtely 3:55 p.m. the State Police responded to a report of a possible drowning in Skaneateles Lake near Glen Haven. It was reported that a male who had fishing equiptment, had fallen through the ice and had not resurfaced for over 20 minutes.
The male identified as Alfred Coon, age 82, from Homer, died when he fell through the ice and was not able to climb out. Local fire and EMS located Mr. Coon and attempted life saving measures but were unsuccessful.
?The investigation is coninuing.
