Altona woman arrested following traffic stop

On February 10, 2019, at approximately 5:21 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on Forest Road in the town of Altona on a 2005 Chevrolet mini-van for having an inadequate exhaust. The operator, Jessica M. Miller, 36, of Altona, was subsequently arrested for DWAI-Drugs. She was also found to be driving with a suspended license.
Subsequent to an evaluation by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and a check of her prior convictions, Miller was charged with Felony DWAI-Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree and further ticketed for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree and inadequate exhaust. Miller was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
