Pair arrested for possessing marijuana following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Kenneth R. Butler      Kamyrn Perez


Glen, NY – On February 10, 2019 at approximately 1:46 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Glen for a vehicle and traffic violation.  During the interview of the occupants, probable cause to search the vehicle was established.  The driver, Kenneth R. Butler, 21, of Ilion, NY, was found to be in possession of approximately 68 grams of marijuana.  The passenger, Kamyrn Perez, 21, of Poughkeepsie, NY was found to be in possession of approximately 246 grams of marijuana and a glass vial containing concentrated cannabis.  Both men were taken into custody and transported to SP Fultonville where they were charged with the following:

Kenneth Butler:
  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violation 
Kamyrn Perez:
  • Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd degree; a Class E Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor

Butler was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Glen Court on February 21, 2019.  Perez was arraigned before the Town of Glen Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash or $10,000 bond.  No return court date available.
