On March 11, 2019, State Police in Saratoga arrested 27-year-old Michael S. Croote of Delanson, and 43-year-old Michelle Nespica of Sloansville, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.

Shortly before 8:30p.m. on March 11, 2019, State Police responded to a fight in progress at a hotel in the Town of Malta. When they arrived, they spoke with Michelle Nespica, who told police that her boyfriend, Michael Croote, was involved in a physical altercation with another male in their hotel room. When Troopers entered the hotel room they found that the unknown male had left the area. Several items of drug paraphernalia were observed throughout the room as well as a quantity of heroin. Both Croote and Nespica were placed in custody for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, and transported to SP Saratoga for processing.

Croote and Nespica were both issued appearance tickets. They are due in Malta Town Court on March 20, 2019.
