On March 13, 2019, State Police in Schodack arrested 39-year-old James J. Slattery III of Berlin, NY, for Criminal Mischief 4th degree.

Troopers responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in the Town of Berlin shortly before 6:00p.m. on Wednesday. When patrols arrived, they interviewed the victim, who stated that Slattery had become upset when he could not locate a particular pair of socks, convinced that another family member had moved them. He then picked up a chair and swung it at a piece of home décor causing it to shatter.

Slatterly was arrested and transported to SP Sand Lake for processing. He was arraigned in Berlin Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on March 20, 2019 at 7:00p.m.
