Rochester man arrested for DWI and possession of crack cocaine following a traffic stop.

Thain Lain



Chili, NY – On March 15, 2019, at approximately 12:50 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for multiple vehicle and traffic violations.  The unlicensed driver, Thain Lain, 25, of Rochester, NY, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of 9 grams of cocaine and 16 grams of crack cocaine.  Lain was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Henrietta, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%.  He was charged with the following:
 Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree; a Class B Felony
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree; a Class C Felony
  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Several Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Lain was arraigned before the Town of Chili Court and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.  No return court date available at this time.
