Rye, NY man arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. more than twice the legal limit following an accident.

Rye, NY – On April 6, 2019, at approximately 1:26 a.m., State Police responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on I-95 in the city of Rye. The investigation revealed a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove off the roadway at the exit 19 ramp and struck a concrete barrier, causing all the airbags to deploy. The uninjured driver, Guglielmo Girotto, 24, of Rye, NY, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22%. Girotto was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
Girotto was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Rye Court on April 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
