Philipstown man arrested for domestic violence

Philipstown, New York – On May 12, 2019, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Luis K. Urbina, age 43, of Philipstown, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Obstruction of Breath, both class A misdemeanors.
On May 11, 2019, Troopers were dispatched to Sprout Brook Road in the town of Philipstown for a domestic dispute. Investigation found Luis Urbina strangled the victim who was lying in bed with two children.
Urbina was arraigned before the town of Kent Court, and released on his own recognizance by the Honorable Judge Curtiss. An order of protection was requested on the behalf of the victims and granted by the Court. Urbina is next scheduled to appear before the town of Philipstown Court on June 12, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
