Victims of work zone and move over crashes to speak
Employees of the New York State Thruway Authority, New York State Department of Transportation and the New York State Police who have been injured in roadside crashes while working on New York’s highways will share their personal stories.
As New Yorkers gear up for the summer travel season, Executive Director of the NYS Thruway Authority Matthew J. Driscoll, Executive Deputy Commissioner of the NYS Department of Transportation, Ron Epstein and Commander of NYSP Troop T Major Douglas R. Keyer Jr., will also be in attendance to educate motorists about Work Zone Safety, the Move Over Law and on how they can do their part to keep our roadways safe.
The press conference will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Guilderland Service Area on the eastbound New York State Thruway (I-90) between exit 25 (Schenectady – I-890) & exit 24 (Albany I-87 and I-90).
Visuals will include Thruway and DOT equipment/vehicles as well as a damaged New York State Police Troop Car.
