State Police conduct occupant safety check in Southeast

Southeast, New York – On May 20, 2019, the New York State Police, Connecticut State Police Department, and Danbury Police Department conducted an occupant safety checkpoint on State Route 6/Danbury Road in the town of Southeast near the New York and Connecticut State line. The Connecticut State Police and Danbury Police Department in Connecticut coordinated in their respective jurisdiction with New York State Law Enforcement members.
The operation was conducted in furtherance of our mission to ensure highway safety for all users of the roadway. A total of thirteen tickets were issued during this targeted enforcement period, two of which were for seatbelt/passenger restraint related violations.
