Lindley man faces numerous charges after fleeing traffic stop

On May 21, 2019, a New York State Trooper from SP Painted Post attempted to stop a vehicle towing a utility trailer driven by Glen Glover, age 50, of Lindley, NY. Glover fled on back roads in the town of Lindley area. Glover drove through a yard on Morgan Creek Road, narrowly missing a young child, and caused property damage to a fence and fruit trees. A short time later, Glover stopped his vehicle on Bell Hill Road in the town of Lindley and fled into the woods on foot. New York State Troopers and personnel from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, along with a helicopter from the State Police Aviation Unit, responded to assist with the search of for Glover.
On May 22, 2019, after numerous interviews with friends of the suspect, Glover called Troopers and agreed to turn himself in. Grover was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st degree (a class “D” felony ), Criminal Mischief 3rd (a class “E” felony), Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd (a class “A” misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (a violation). Glover was issued numerous vehicle and traffic tickets, including operating a vehicle with a suspended license, having an unregistered trailer, and multiple moving violations.
Glover is being held at the Steuben County Jail pending centralized arraignment on May 23, 2019.
