Two North Carolina men arrested in Waddington for drug possession

On June 1, 2019, at approximately 1:20 p.m., State Police responded to the Ogdensburg Border Patrol Station for a report of two subjects found in possession of a large quantity of alprazolam pills during a stop on State Route 37 in Waddington.
21-year-old Creston O. Cummings, and 21-year-old Stewart B. Cole, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, were found to be in possession of approximately 148 pounds of alprazolam pills during their encounter with U.S. Border Patrol agents.
Cummings and Cole were turned over to State Police for processing. They were both charged with one count each of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree. Both men were arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court where they were each remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bail, or $30,000 bond.
