On June 9 at approximately 11:15 p.m., the New York State Police in Canandaigua arrested Eric S. Passalacqua, 33, of Geneva following a traffic stop for speeding in the town of Phelps. While interviewing Mr. Passalacqua, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and he was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As Mr. Passalacqua was exiting his vehicle, Troopers observed a plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance, believed to be cocaine, in the driver door pocket. The item was seized and tested, which was confirmed to be cocaine. A DMV inquiry of Mr. Passalacqua’s license revealed it to be suspended. He was taken into custody and processed at SP Canandaigua, then lodged at the Ontario County Jail to await morning arraignment for the listed charges.
