On June 16, 2019, at approximately 9:39 p.m., State Police responded to County Route 7, in the town of Moira, for a report of a one-car crash.
An investigation revealed that a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup truck operated by Connie M. Shorette, 55, of Brushton, was traveling north on County Route 7 when she allegedly swerved to miss deer crossing the roadway. Shorette’s vehicle entered the east ditch, striking a culvert in the driveway of 580 County Route 7. Shorette was not injured. She was subsequently arrested for DWI. Her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.09%. Shorette was released with tickets for DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and moving from lane unsafely, all returnable to the Town of Moira Court.
