Marathon man arrested for menacing

On June 14, 2019 at approximately 10:55 p.m., New York State Police at Homer arrested Brendan L. Mann, age 23 of Marathon, NY for the misdemeanors of Menacing in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree.
A victim reported that Mann pulled up to a residence on McMahon Road in the town of Marathon and fired two rounds, placing the victim in fear, then left the area. A vehicle description was provided and a trooper spotted the vehicle on West Main Street in the village of Marathon. He also spotted a shotgun, a rifle and slugs in the back of the vehicle. Mann was subsequently arrested and arraigned in the town of Marathon court where he was remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $500 cash bail or $2000 bond. His next court appearance is July 10, 2019. An order of protection was issued to the victim.
