Troop B Commander
On June 18, 2019, at approximately 2:26 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on State Route 3 in the town of Harrietstown in the area of the Panther Mountain trailhead.
The operator was ejected off the motorcycle and was over the embankment on the South side of the shoulder, with injuries.
Following an investigation it was found that a 2007 Harley Davidson operated by Kevin A. Trombley, 59, of Lyme, New York, was traveling east on State Route 3, when the operator failed to negotiate the corner, striking the guide rail on the south shoulder. Trombley was ejected from the motorcycle where he landed approximately 24 feet down the steep earth embankment.
Trombley was transported by Life Flight for numerous internal injuries to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont.
This remains under investigation.
