Loud exhaust leads to drug arrest

On June 18th, 2019, Troopers and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) out of SP Capital arrested Shaineef Cain, 25 of Albany, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Class B - Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell in the 3rd Degree (Class B - Felony).
Mr. Cain was pulled over on Madison Ave. in the City of Albany, for loud exhaust and uninspected motor vehicle. A probable cause search revealed Mr. Cain to be in possession of approximately 18 grams of cocaine. He was subsequently arrested and transported to SP Capital for processing. He was arraigned at the City of Albany Criminal Court and released into the supervision of the Albany County Probation. Mr. Cain is to reappear in court on June 24, 2019 at 9 a.m.
