Michigan man arrested for DWI, drug possession in Friendship

On June 16, 2019, SP Amity Troopers arrested Caleb D. Rummel, 31, of Livonia, MI for Driving While Intoxicated, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th Degree, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Non-Original Container.

During a traffic stop on Interstate 86 in the town of Friendship, Rummel was exhibiting obvious signs of impairment. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an impaired condition. He refused to submit to standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Glass was then arrested and transported to SP Amity, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.

Rummel was arraigned in Friendship Town Court, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond.
