State Police investigate a robbery in the town of Massena

On July 9, 2019, at approximately 9:48 p.m., State Police responded to 170 Highland Road in the town of Massena for a report of a robbery. The investigation revealed a male subject was held at knife point by Gerald L. Dissotle, 48, and his daughter Patience M. Dissotle, 27. The Dissotles stole $214.00 and a cell phone from the victim. Both were later arrested. Gerald Dissotle was charged with Robbery 1st degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. Patience Dissotle was charged with Robbery 1st degree. Both defendants were arraigned in the Town of Massena Court. Gerald was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail with no bail. Patience was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond. Both defendants are to reappear on July 12, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the Town of Massena Court.
