Brooklyn man arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. over twice the legal limit.

New Rochelly, NY – On July 9, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the city of New Rochelle for a vehicle and traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle Carlos L. Lopez, 50, of Brooklyn, NY, was found to be intoxicated. After Lopez resisted arrest, he was ultimately taken into custody, transported and processed at SP New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%.
Lopez was subsequently charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest; a Class A Misdemeanor, Disorderly Conduct; a Violation, as well as Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
Lopez was released to a sober third party with appearance tickets returnable to the City of New Rochelle Court on July 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
