Cortlandt man arrested for domestic violence

Cortlandt, New York – On July 5, 2019, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested David L. Herbin, age 29, of Cortlandt, for Assault in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, and Aggravated Criminal Contempt, all class D felonies.
On July 5, 2019, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the State Police responded to the Oregon Road Shell gas station in the town of Cortlandt for a physical domestic. Investigation determined Herbin poured beer over the head of the victim, and then punched the victim with a beer bottle in his closed fist causing injury. Further investigation determined there was a valid order of protection in place in favor of the victim.
Herbin was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court, and remanded by the Honorable Judge Ragazzo to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or secured bond. Herbin was scheduled to return to Court on July 8, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
