Update: State Police identify victim in Cobleskill homicide

State Police confirm Timothy J. Oldorff, 50, of Cobleskill, is the victim in Thursday’s homicide in Cobleskill. 
UPDATE: The victim, a 50-year-old male, has succumbed to his injuries. His name is not being released at this time pending notifications.

UPDATE: State Police in Cobleskill have arrested a 17-year-old in Thursday's attempted homicide in Cobleskill. 

The 17-year-old is charged with Assault 1st degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.

The 17-year-old was remanded to the Schoharie County Jail. 

The victim in the attempted homicide is 50 years old.

On July 11, 2019, at approximately 12:45 AM, Troopers from SP Cobleskill responded to 435 Lamont District Road in Cobleskill and located a victim with an obvious gunshot wound to the back of his head. 
The victim was air lifted to Albany Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition. 
The incident is under investigation as an attempted homicide by Troop G Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Major Crimes Unit, and Forensic Identification Unit. 
There is no threat to the general public at this time.
