Freeport man arrested on drug and weapons charges

On Friday August 9, 2019, the State Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Brian J. Crook, age 33, of Freeport, NY, for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, a class A-II felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree, a class D felony.

State Police arrested Crook as part of an ongoing 10-month long investigation into cocaine trafficking in the Freeport area. A search warrant was executed at Crook's residence, and Troopers seized cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and illegal firearms including handguns and assault rifles. Troopers also recovered high capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and cash.

Crook is being held pending arraignment at Nassau County First District Court.
