Bronx man arrested in Queens for driving with a suspended license

Queens, New York – On August 10, 2019 at approximately 3:40 p.m., a Trooper from SP Bronx arrested Ricky R. Hammonds, age 44, of the Bronx, New York, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree – a class E Felony.
The Trooper was patrolling the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge and conducted a traffic stop on a black-colored 2018 Dodge Durango, operated by Hammonds, for a violation of the vehicle the traffic law. The investigation into the incident found Hammond’s driver’s license and the vehicle’s registration to be suspended. He was also wanted by NYPD for having active warrants and was subsequently arrested.
Hammond was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree and remanded to Queens Central Booking pending arraignment.
