Two arrested after Trooper find 167lbs of marijuana during traffic stop

PRESS RELEASE

On August 9, 2019, State Police arrested 30-year-old Justin T. Corcoran of Burke, and 33-year-old Kenneth J. Buntz Jr. of Malone, for Criminal Possession of Marihuana 1st degree and Conspiracy 4th degree.
 
Shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Troopers stopped a vehicle traveling on the Northway in Queensbury after the driver was observed not wearing their seatbelt. Upon interviewing the driver, Kenneth Buntz, the Trooper smelled a strong odor of marijuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several hockey bags and black garbage bags containing approximately 167 lbs of marijuana. Buntz and his passenger Justin Corcoran, were placed in custody and transported to SP Queensbury for processing.
 
Both men were arraigned in Queensbury Town Court.
