Gansevoort woman facing burglary charges

PRESS RELEASE

On August 10, 2019, State Police in Queensbury arrested 26-year-old Britneigh Sipowicz of Gansevoort, for Burglary 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Harassment 2nd degree.
 
State Police were called to a residence in Queensbury shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Saturday evening. The homeowner contacted police after Britneigh Sipowicz forcibly entered their home and attacked them and an associate. During the confrontation Sipowicz took one of the victim’s cellphone as they attempted to contact 911. She also caused damage to the victim’s property. When police arrived, they took Sipowicz into custody and removed her from the property. She was transported to SP Queensbury where she was processed.
 
Sipowicz was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court, she is due back on August 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.
