Jamestown resident charged with Drug Possession

On August 11th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Jarred Ristau, 20, of Jamestown, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Ristau was pulled over on I-86 in Stow for speeding and while speaking to Ristau, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of Ristau and his vehicle revealed a bag of cocaine, nine wax envelopes containing concentrated cannabis butter, a jar containing marijuana and two smoking devices. Ristau was placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Ristau was issued appearance tickets and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court later in the month.
