Buffalo man arrested for possessing marijuana following a traffic stop on the Thruway.

Buffalo, NY – On August 12, 2019, at approximately 11:02 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-190 in the city of Buffalo for a vehicle and traffic violation. Upon interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle was established. The driver, Joseph D. Leone, 21, of Buffalo, NY, was found to be in possession of over 2 ounces of marijuana and nearly 3 ounces of concentrated THC.
Leone was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Buffalo where he was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 4th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor, and a Vehicle and Traffic Violation.
Leone was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to the City of Buffalo Court on August 22, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
