On August 15, 2019 at 8:15 P.M., Troopers out of SP Warsaw responded to Dutch Hollow Road near State Route 78 in the town of Sheldon for two teens struck by a vehicle.  Further investigation reveals that the fourteen and twelve-year-old girls were walking their Australian Shepard on the grass next to the roadway and a dark colored vehicle swerved into the lawn striking both girls and killing the Australian Shepard.  The twelve-year-old had serious, non-life threatening injuries and the fourteen-year-old had minor injuries.
NYSP Forensic Identification Unit examined the parts from the scene.  The vehicle involved is a black 2017 Chevrolet Trax.  The vehicle has passenger side mirror damage and head light damage. With the help of media and area tips, the 2017 Chevrolet Trax has been located and the BCI are determining who was operating the vehicle at the time of the collision.
*Troopers were assisted by the Wyoming County District Attorney, Donald O’Geen, BCI, NYSP Forensic Identification Unit, NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, NYSP Computer Crimes Unit, NYSP AMI, multiple vehicle dealerships, local businesses and the media to establish Hall as the driver involved in this collision.
