Georgia man charged with grand larceny

On August 12, 2019, the State Police Financial Crimes Unit arrested 48-year-old Thomas M. Morgan of Kingsland, Georgia, formerly of Gloversville, NY, for one count of Grand Larceny 2nd degree.
On January 25, 2019, State Police Investigators from the Special Investigations Unit Financial Crimes Unit, received a request for assistance from the city of Gloversville Police Department. Gloversville Police received a complaint from Active & Well Family Chiropractic, that multiple patient insurance payments never made it into the company bank account.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Morgan, a former employee, had stolen approximately 828 checks over a three-year period totaling more than $95,000, cashing them at a local convenience store.
Morgan was processed at SP Fonda and arraigned in the city of Gloversville Court. Morgan was released on $2,500 cash bail.
