Howard Beach man arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

Staten Island, New York – On August 19, 2019 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Troopers from SP Rockaways arrested Emil Ljesnjanin, age 19, of Howard Beach, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree – both unclassified misdemeanors.
The Troopers were patrolling the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and conducted a traffic stop on a black-colored 2018 Nissan Rogue for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Ljesnjanin was arrested after the investigation into the incident found him to be impaired by alcohol and operating the vehicle while his driver’s license was in a suspended status.
Ljesnjanin was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, and remanded to Richmond County Central Booking pending arraignment.
