Great Valley accident leads to felony DWI charge for Allegany man

On August 17, 2019, SP Olean Troopers arrested Damian J. Greaves, 25, of Allegany, NY for Driving While Intoxicated – Previous Conviction Within the Past Ten Years.

During their investigation of a one-car accident on Humphrey Road in the town of Great Valley, Greaves, the driver, was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Greaves was transported to Olean General Hospital for evaluation, then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.

Greaves was arraigned in Allegany Town Court, where he was released on his own recognizance. He is due to appear in Great Valley Town Court in September.
