Brooklyn man arrested for Driving While Intoxicated

Brooklyn, New York – On September 1, 2019 at approximately 2:55 a.m., Troopers from SP Brooklyn arrested Kenneth N. Hendy, age 51, of Brooklyn, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree – both unclassified misdemeanors.
The Troopers were patrolling the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and conducted a traffic stop on a black-colored 2018 Jeep Compass, operated by Hendy, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation into the incident found Hendy to be impaired by alcohol and driving with a suspended driver’s license - he was subsequently arrested.
Hendy was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, and remanded to Brooklyn Central Booking pending arraignment.
