On September 7, 2019, State Police at SP Capital arrested 34-year-old Porter G. Denson Jr. of Davenport, FL, for Burlary 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, both D felonies.

At approximately 8:21 p.m. on September 6, 2019, Troopers responded to 40 North Pearl Street for a subject who had illegally entered the building, pulled multiple fire alarms, and was causing damage to an office.

When they arrived, the Troopers observed damage to a basement office and a fire extinguisher that had been deployed in the same area for no apparent reason. A worker in the building reported to police that they encountered the suspect on an upper floor, and that he wasn’t wearing any clothes.

Troopers located the suspect’s discarded clothing and picture ID,  identifying him as Porter Denson. He was subsequently located running naked on the street and was taken into custody.

Denson was arraigned in Albany City Court and bail was set at $1,500 cash or bond. He is due back in court on September 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m.
