On October 14th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Ryan Layton, 36, of Erie, PA, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.

The Troopers pulled over a vehicle on I-86 in Kennedy for speeding and while speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle and its occupants, Layton was found to be in possession of five Adderall pills, an unmarked bottle containing marijuana vegetation and a pipe containing burnt marijuana. The driver was issued a traffic ticket and released. Layton was placed under arrest, processed and SP Jamestown and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
