State Police arrest 2 Bath residents for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree.

PRESS RELEASE

 
On September 18, 2019, members of the New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) along with the Troop E BCI and Uniform force conducted a narcotic investigation in the town of Bath, NY.  At approximately 5:35AM, members of the NYSP, Special Operations Response Team, (SORT) executed a search warrant on State Route 415 in the town of Bath. 
 
Investigators seized approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 10 grams of marihuana, one wax envelope containing heroin, packaging material, digital scales and approximately $200.00 in US currency. 
 
As a result of the investigation, Barney L. Baker, 58, and Darcie J. Smith, 39, both from Bath, N.Y were arrested on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana 2nd degree. 
 
Baker and Smith were arraigned at the Steuben County Jail.    
 
The arrest resulted from a narcotics investigation conducted by the New York State Police.
