Troopers Investigate Motorcycle Crash in the Town of Clay

Corrected to reflect that the operator of the motorcycle struck the rear of the Mazda.

State Police are investigating a crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Brewerton Road in the town of Clay.

On October 29, 2019, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by Craig M. Eberle, age 25 from Cicero, NY was traveling north on Brewerton Road when he struck the rear of a 2013 Mazda CX7, operated by Cary M. Bustin, age 55 from Clay, NY.

Eberle was ejected upon impact. He was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in serious condition.  Bustin and a 12-year-old passenger were not injured in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
