07 November 2019 Troopers find almost a kilo of cocaine during early morning traffic stop in Fort Ann NEW YORK STATE POLICE

On November 6, 2019, State Police in Granville arrested 29-year-old Azeez A. Harris of Queens, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree (A felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (B felony), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (A misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of Marihuana 4th degree (A misdemeanor). At approximately 3:45 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on State Route 4 in Fort Ann for a traffic infraction. While speaking with the driver, Azeez Harris, the Trooper could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed that Harris was in possession of approximately 988 grams of cocaine, 218 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Harris was taken into custody and transported to SP Granville for processing. He was transported to Washington County Jail for centralized arraignment and remanded without bail. He is due Fort Ann Town Court on November 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. ![]()
