Plattsburgh man arrested for Felony DWI

On November 9, 2019, at approximately 10:45 p.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on Military Turnpike near Northern Cakes, in the town of Plattsburgh on a Kia Sportage for failure to keep right. The operator, identified as Barry A. Harrigan, 39, of Plattsburgh, was subsequently arrested for DWI.
Harrigan’s driver’s license was also found to be suspended. His blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.20%. Further investigation revealed he was convicted of a previous DUI (misdemeanor) in Vermont on October 3, 2019. Harrigan was charged with Felony Aggravated DWI, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree. He was released with tickets returnable in the Plattsburgh Town Court.
