Syracuse man arrested for DWI with a B.A.C. over twice the legal limit.

Dewitt, NY – On November 9, 2019, at approximately 12:30 a.m., State Police were called to check on a disabled vehicle in the Thruway employee parking lot at exit 34A of I-90. Troopers interviewed the driver, David L. McDowell, 49, of Syracuse, NY, who was found to be intoxicated.
McDowell was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Syracuse where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.22%. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor and several Vehicle and Traffic Violations.
McDowell was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Dewitt Court on November 13, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
