West Sand Lake woman charged after keying car, causes $1,700 in damage

PRESS RELEASE

On November 11, 2019, State Police in Sand Lake arrested 51-year-old Connie J. Coyne of West Sand Lake, for Criminal Mischief 2nd degree (D felony) and Criminal Tampering (B misdemeanor).
 
On October 29, 2019, State Police were called to the parking lot of Hannaford in the Town of Sand Lake to investigate a criminal mischief. Upon arrival, Troopers spoke with the victim who stated that she had been involved in a road rage incident with Coyne during which Coyne was tailgating her and driving aggressively.
 
Both the victim and Coyne pulled into Hannaford and entered into a verbal altercation before entering the store. Coyne was then witnessed by an uninvolved party, exiting the store and using a key to scratch the passenger side door of the victim’s car. The damage to the victim’s vehicle was over $1,700.
 
Coyne turned herself into at SP Sand Lake and was processed. She was arraigned in Sand Lake Town Court and is due back on November 18, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
