Connecticut residents arrested for cocaine possession

Bronx, New York - On November 15, 2019 at approximately 5:05 p.m., a Trooper from SP Bronx arrested Joshua M. Fairweather, age 34, and Talia C. Cordoba, age 42, both of New Haven, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree (Cocaine) - a class A felony.
The Trooper was patrolling the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge and conducted a traffic stop on a blue-colored Audi A8, operated by Fairweather, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation into the incident revealed the occupants to be in possession of approximately nine ounces of cocaine and Fairweather to be in possession of a forged license plate and vehicle registration.
Fairweather and Cordoba were subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree. Fairweather was also charged with two counts of Forgery in the 2nd Degree - a class D felony, and Cordoba was also charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree - a class A misdemeanor. Both suspects were remanded to Bronx Central Booking pending arraignment.
